Honestly, I didn't think I'd be watching the Olympics as much as I have been. I thought, Okay, I'll watch women's gymnastics, but that's it. But lo and behold, I have also been watching swimming, diving, a bit of beach volleyball, and track as well (dang it, I have yet to see the Men's basketball team play). So, okay, me watching swimming shouldn't be so hard to believe since Michael Phelps was putting on the most awesome performances ever. However, I am surprising myse...
Is Wall-E for everyone? Probably not. If you dig animated movies with lots of dialogue and plenty of over the top/zany/big mouthed characters, then this movie might not be for you. Wall-E is pretty subtle...but oh so endearing. Here is a robot that has strolled around earth doing his robotic duties for the last 700 years, and along the way develops a "personality"...I guess you can say he's picked up some human quirks. The movie begins in a pretty "solitary" manner&...

Lately, Chris (udigit) has been approaching me randomly with a blank stare on his face. He stands there, takes a coin out of his pocket, and with his deepest, creepiest voice repeats to me over and over, "Call It...just Call It", "Call It". I try to get him out of the mode, but he doesn't budge, which then causes me to either crack up or freak out...lol. This crazy but cool No Country for Old Men-Javier Bardem imitation got me to thinking about Oscar night tomorrow (which I...
I was very thrilled to see Lost return to the airwaves. It is one of my favorite shows. I know some ppl have jumped off the Lost boat ( I do understand why...since it was dragging for a while there), but I am determined to see it to its end. Already the little twists and turns of the season premiere have me wondering and theorizing. If you've jumped off the boat, maybe you'll give the show a chance again. I can say with confidence that its much more captivating and interesting t...

(Note: I have been so lazy lately when it comes to blogging, and was supposed to pose this question to everyone last week. ) Well, the fall TV season is here, and being a TV watcher, there are many shows that I am looking forward to watching. There is Grey's Anatomy, Dancing with the Stars (which Donna wrote about-check out her blog), Ugly Betty, Prison Break, Heroes (which Locamama mentioned she might write about soon, so look out for that), and so forth. New shows I'd like to ...
I'm not usually into action movies, but The Bourne Series has been pretty awesome. When I began watching Bourne Identity a few years ago, I didn't think I'd get into it, but it totally sucked me in. Last night, we re-capped and watched Bourne Supremacy , and once again, I was glued to the TV...feeling as if I was going through all the chaos along with him. More often than not, sequels aren't as good as the original...but here we are in the third installment of this series ( Bour...
I'm putting this cutesy quiz up in honor of the Simpson's film release (went to see it yesterday...pretty funny. Basically, if you enjoy the show, you'll enjoy the movie). Maybe this has been put up before, but heck, I'm putting it up again. Here's my result: I'm Lisa, who are you? by NoHomers.net I'm thinking that should say, "If I Were a Simpsons Character..."
The "Dating" game is a game Dig and I play (hey, maybe you play it, too). He names a group of celebrities and asks me which ones I’d date. For example, Which one would you date: Sylvester Stallone, Governator Arnold, or Bruce Willis? (I chose Bruce Willis, btw, since I don’t care for the other two). We then alternate, and I ask him. Sooner than you know it, we are coming up with some pretty interesting (and funny) groups of people. Here are some “rules” 1. The 3 people on...
American Idol is down to its final four: Melinda Doolittle (front left), Blake Lewis(front center), Lakisha Jones (front right) and Jordin Sparks (back center). I don't think this year's bunch is generating as much buzz as last years group, but they are pretty talented nonetheless. I would say Melinda is a shoe in (very talented and a very likable gal), but Blake is so much of a risk taker and so unique from the rest that I wouldn't mind him winning, either. If I were asked ...
