Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)

And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when. I'm stuck at Folsom Prison and time keeps draggin' on. But that train keeps rollin' on down to San Antone.” That song’s been stuck in my head for a few days...you know why? Well, it’s because I am very much looking forward to seeing “Walk the Line”, the movie based on Johnny Cash. The reason for my eagerness doesn’t really have to do with being a big fan of Johnny. It mostly has to do with my b/f being a fan. He has Johnny’s al...

About a year ago, I wrote a blog about a weird commercial that BK had made (the one featuring Darius Rucker). It was so psychedelic and made even stranger by the creepy Burger King guy himself. Just when I had convinced myself that those commercials (starring the Burger King) were the weirdest I have ever seen, along comes BK's Big Bucking Chicken.... Have you seen this crazy thing on TV? The scenario is a mini rodeo featuring a huge chicken (or chickens) being ridden by a ummm......

For a few weeks now, I have been going to the American Idol forums (more like message boards I guess) to discuss the show (I love discussing music and the singers’ skills and lack of skills)...But, oh my gosh, it is CHAOS there! I’m not just talking about weird fanatics of the show who lurk there ...I’m actually talking about the masses and masses of people that are part of those forums! There can be anywhere from 40,000 to 200,000 people online at the same time ...it’s crazy. And don’...

Glory Road came out this weekend. It is about Don Haskins and the 1966 Texas Western College Miners Basketball Team (now known as UTEP). Haskins made history by starting five black players against Kentucky’s all white line-up during an NCAA Championship game, something that had never been done before. It came during a time when racial discrimination was very high, at a time when young black men didn’t have many opportunities... and it made many proud that these boys, who often experienced ...

There is a commercial out there that has Darius Rucker (of Hootie and the Blowfish) dressed as a cowboy and singing about a Tender Crisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch Sandwich....it totally weirds me out... First off, why is Darius doing a Burger King commercial? I know that Hootie hasn't made music in quite a while, but I never expected to see him singing about a sandwich on TV....Then you have all these half dressed girls....some tasting buttermilk out of the buckets, some sticking out derrieres ...

I'm not usually into action movies, but The Bourne Series has been pretty awesome. When I began watching Bourne Identity a few years ago, I didn't think I'd get into it, but it totally sucked me in. Last night, we re-capped and watched Bourne Supremacy , and once again, I was glued to the TV...feeling as if I was going through all the chaos along with him. More often than not, sequels aren't as good as the original...but here we are in the third installment of this series ( Bour...

I'm putting this cutesy quiz up in honor of the Simpson's film release (went to see it yesterday...pretty funny. Basically, if you enjoy the show, you'll enjoy the movie). Maybe this has been put up before, but heck, I'm putting it up again. Here's my result: I'm Lisa, who are you? by NoHomers.net I'm thinking that should say, "If I Were a Simpsons Character..."

The "Dating" game is a game Dig and I play (hey, maybe you play it, too). He names a group of celebrities and asks me which ones I’d date. For example, Which one would you date: Sylvester Stallone, Governator Arnold, or Bruce Willis? (I chose Bruce Willis, btw, since I don’t care for the other two). We then alternate, and I ask him. Sooner than you know it, we are coming up with some pretty interesting (and funny) groups of people. Here are some “rules” 1. The 3 people on...

American Idol is down to its final four: Melinda Doolittle (front left), Blake Lewis(front center), Lakisha Jones (front right) and Jordin Sparks (back center). I don't think this year's bunch is generating as much buzz as last years group, but they are pretty talented nonetheless. I would say Melinda is a shoe in (very talented and a very likable gal), but Blake is so much of a risk taker and so unique from the rest that I wouldn't mind him winning, either. If I were asked ...

This morning, Chris drooled and ogled because of me...because of me playing him the new Shakira/Beyonce video..lol. Needless to say, he was pretty transfixed by it. What a dangerous combination for men...might cause some pulses to go on overdrive. Oh, and try asking Chris what he thought of the song....you'll probably get silence because he didn't pay attention to it.

I am very excited for the upcoming season of Prison Break (Fox), which starts tonight. I was restless about how long it took for them to break out, but they finally did and I can't wait to see what's in store. And this is coming from a gal who didn't want to see the show at first (now my honey says I get more excited about it than he does...and he insists that I have a crush on the lead actor...hmm..dunno about that).

My honey and I were watching Napoleon Dynamite on HBO the other day, and I was impressed with how much attention he pays to detail. He told me to look at the dance scene and announced , "Notice how in one scene he has his shirt tucked in, and in another scene, half of it is tucked out." I've watched this movie a few times and never even noticed this until he pointed it out to me. He also noticed that in once scene Tricia's house had a screen door and in another scene, there was no sc...

I don’t know if many of you are familiar with Michael Buble (pronounced boo-blay), but he’s a Canadian singer who has recorded a few CDs of well known standards. We (my honey, sis, and brother) attended his concert last night...and I just have to say he put on a really good show! (Here is a pic and info link): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00070Q7VO/102-7883096-7031340?v=glance&n=5174 He started off with an energetic song called “Feeling Good”...making a smooth entrance down some st...

Honestly, I didn't think I'd be watching the Olympics as much as I have been.  I thought, Okay, I'll watch women's gymnastics, but that's it.  But lo and behold, I have also been watching swimming, diving, a bit of beach volleyball, and track as well (dang it, I have yet to see the Men's basketball team play). So, okay, me watching swimming shouldn't be so hard to believe since Michael Phelps was putting on the most awesome performances ever.  However, I am surprising myse...
