Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)
And Still waiting for Santa...
Published on December 26, 2005 By InBloom In Misc
My boyfriend and I have not Celebrated Christmas with each other yet... gifts still lay under the tinseled tree perfectly wrapped, bows and ribbons intact. We are STILL in anticipation as to what we got each other...

The Reason? Well...I think it’s more than one...

First off, we did not get to finish shopping for each other...yes, even though we have a few gifts for one another, we did not get to wrap up (bad pun) our Christmas shopping. Instead of having our minds on Christmas all month, we’ve both pretty much had our minds on me getting better...and thank God I have little by little...but focusing on my recovery left me (and him) little time to go out and do quality shopping.

Secondly, we wanted our own intimate Day to celebrate Christmas...the past two days have been spent with family--dozens of relatives and all the chaos that comes along with being around that many people. Although we both have enjoyed ourselves (I certainly LOVED seeing my nieces open their gifts), we both thought it would just be nice to have our own day away from family to celebrate.

So, we still sit here waiting to see what Santa will bring us...we should be done with our shopping in a day or two, then we will have our Christmas Day.

It may not be December 25, but hey, as long as we still have the Holiday Spirit in us, it shouldn’t matter, right...

It's the spirit that counts, that's what I think anyway.

It's difficult when there's many relatives.
been there, done that, understand!

and special when you get alone time!

Every other year, we wait as well, since my Sons will not be down for a few days.  It is the season, not the day, and the day can be whenever time and togetherness allows.

Yes, and that alone time is what we are especially looking foward to.

Very true indeed...and I think the longer we keep the spirit of the season around, the more memorable and special it will be for us.

Steve~~You have the patience of a saint. ~~

I am usually patient about most things, but actually, my b/f seems to be more patient when it comes to this...I am overly eager...lol.

Nawwww, it doesn't matter! I hope you've been able to have that moment together and I also hope you're feeling tons better! I know, having too many people around can be taxing, we love them but it's never too soon to see them go home! Hahaha....thank heavens it's only once in a while right?!

We had our special Christmas last night...I LOVED all the gifts he gave me, and he loved his as well...I am glad we waited...and even more glad he suggested it...I think I might write another blog on what he got me...

lol...I do love my family...but yeah, it can get hectic...
I loved when we got home from all the chaos, and enjoyed our own time together.
