Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)

I’ve been wondering about You, JoeUser...

I’ve been wondering ...

*How is Danny Bassette? Haven’t seen him in a while...he was a nice contributor to this place...

*Whatever happened to “I am Heather”? Anyone remember her? She was one of the first people on JU that made me feel welcome and made me feel part of the community.

*Has Island Gurl gotten online yet? I wonder if she’s found a job as well...I enjoy her blogs very much.

*Has anyone else noticed the nice pictures Jamie Burnside posts? He regularly post pics of his beautiful family. Nice to know there are happy families out there.

*How are Texas Wahine’s wedding plans going? I know she had found her perfect wedding dress, which was great. Hope everything else is going smoothly.

*Trudy, are you out and about now? How does your brand new knee feel? Hopefully, it makes you feel 20 years younger!

*And speaking of recoveries, dharma, how is yours going? I read a blog about how you were going back to work soon. Hope that is going well.

*And also, I know MasonM is recovering from an accident as well...how are you doing?

*Didn’t we have a book club going on around here? I am currently reading “little earthquakes” by jennifer weiner, and “fast food nation” by Eric Schlosser. In the past few months I have also read a Charlotte Bronte biography and “Good in Bed”. Wonder what else everyone is reading.

*Wonder whatever happened to Little Whips neighbor, the one who had drug problems and the one she was having difficulties with...I wonder if she is still headed down the wrong road.

*Wonder if Alison Watkins will invite us all out to her middle school choir’s “first gig”...I am sure they are going to sound pretty awesome.

*Has Marcie Helen found a new home? I read she was searching for one.

*Dr. Guy, give me the reason behind choosing “Alf” as your forum pic...I think it’s the coolest one by far...well, that one and baker street’s Sherlock Holmes. Maybe I should hang around forums more and check out everyone’s avatar (is that what they are called?)

*NIckyG...did you and your daughter do anything special this past weekend...reading one of your articles made me realize what a dedicated and loving mother you are.

*Dig, why don’t you post more of your writing? You are witty and humorous and hold your own...and I’m not just saying this because I love you...

I know I could have asked these outright to the people above, but I thought I’d just write a blog about it...and I’m sure I’ll think of more Questions for more people after I hit the post button.

I have been in the land of lurkers, but the nice thoughts are appreciated. I won't presume to tell you what everyone else is up to (wouldn't be prudent), although I have seen Heather around the instant messenger the past few weeks. On the topic of books, I recently finished the fourth book in the Ender trilogy (by Orson Scott Card).

So good to see the human side of Joe User... someone that actually cares about others. There has been too much trashing of each other lately around here... good to see someone that's not into that.

Glad to see you alive and kicking Danny.  I was concerned as well.

I am Heather, and DeadZombie (her husband) bowed out about 8 months ago because one of their mothers (I think it was Heather's) has developed some serious health Problems and they dont have time to be on line too much.

As for my Avatar, I have Gideon to thank for the pic.  I chose Alf because I loved the show, and it was a bonding time for my oldest daughter and I when it was on the air (she was all of about 6).  I use to work so much, that the only time we had much time together was early evening before she went to bed.

I dont eat cats (we have 6 of them), but otherwise, I am pretty much like him in doing stupid stuff!

Nice to hear from you danny. Continue to lurk around and keep in touch with us.

Not that I've never gotten into a heated discussion, but I try not to overdo it...just not my personality.

And btw, mano, I thought up a question for you: I'm wondering what the time difference is from U.S mountain time (8:35 in the a.m here) to your time (you do live in Israel, is that correct? Or am i just imagining stuff...)

Wow...that's actually a sweet story. I think my rose avatar is kinda cliched, but it goes with my nic (and well, rose is my real name), plus blue is my favorite color...I'm still looking around for other pics to consider in the future though.

Here is another wondering: Who was the JoeUer that used his/her article to create a Song name game (I think a word was given and you had to find a song that had the word in it, and people continued the cycle by getting a word from the previous song post...or something like that). Anyway, I went around one time looking for it in order to revive it because I liked playing it, but had no luck. (It might have been bluedev? or a joeuser by the name of raven black, i think?...)

The more in the audience, the more popular I will look...hehe! Actually, I just picked out the winter program. Since we are not allowed to sing Christmas songs of any kind, I chose classics such as "Oh Shennandoah" and "I'm a Believer" from the motion picture Shrek (written by the Monkey's--but I'm sure y'all knew that!)

My Wife's too!  So I do love the name.

How about Good King Wensenslaus (sp) from Love Actually?

And I am (blush) a monkees fan!

Yes... I live in Israel. We are 7 hours ahead of EST...not sure where Mountain time fits in.... we are 10 hours ahead of Pacific Time.

Dr. Guy:
haha....yes! AFterall, it is from a movie!
I bet the kids in my choir don't even know the monkees (Hell, I didn't even know the correct spelling..hehe)

There IS a book blog; I haven't posted anything because I havent read anything to completion - yet. I'm working on 'The World Is Flat'...it's an excellent primer on globilization...oh, and btw, 'Good In Bed' is a decent read.

My back is doing okay; I'm allowed to drive again, yay! It hurts, though, so I haven't done much of it lately. I'm back over at legal starting Friday, notarizing and helping in Military Justice. I spent all day today in court, and realized how much I miss being in that judicial atmosphere.

NIckyG...did you and your daughter do anything special this past weekend...reading one of your articles made me realize what a dedicated and loving mother you are.

Nothing special, as in: 'got tickets to a show', 'went crazy spending money', or 'had fantastic weekend excursion'. But what we did do was ride our bikes downtown every evening before dusk, got coffee, juice and cookies, and sat out at our favorite outdoor patio and talked. Those quiet times we spent together were special... I try to engrave little moments like these in my memory all the time. And, thanks for saying so.

Well, I shoulda tried harder to go searching for it...even if it's books that we share with each other once a month, that would be cool.
