I don’t love the smell of napalm in the morning, but I do love other scents...these thoughts came to me as I was sitting at home with a stuffy nose...I couldn't smell a scented candle I had bought a while back, and couldn't smell the soup I was eating for dinner...
...anyway, here are scents I love...
*Wet Dirt or Soil (I’ve read that some people actually eat the dirt when they smell it...they link this to some kind of vitamin deficiency...I've never eaten it myself, but I’ve commented about it smelling so good that I could eat it....wonder if anyone else likes this smell...lol)
*Cherry Almond Jergens Lotion (too bad it doesn’t last long, but it sure does smell scrumptious)
*Hershey’s Chocolate and Hot Chocolate...okay, anything chocolate
*Honeydew Melon Scented Candles
*Banana Popsicles
*New box of crayons...actually the whole first day of school smell because everything is new
*The smell of soap...especially on my b/f after he showers (I am actually not much for colognes or perfumes...).
*Freshly laundered clothes
*Andes mints
* Golden Delicious Apples
*Baby Lotion...and the baby scent in general (don’t babies have the best smell?..well, of course, except for the diaper thing...
*Finesse hair Conditioner (dunno if it’s doing my hair any good, but it smells great)
*ALL fabric freshener (it smells as if you’ve scattered fresh laundry all over your house...lol...love it)
*The pages of a new book
*My grandmother’s Thanksgiving dressing
*Pumpkin Pie
*Winter (can’t describe it...it’s just that time when you walk out of the door in November, take in the cold bite in the air, and know that Winter is at your
door).
*On the flipside, I hate the smell of bubble gum flavored medicines and vanilla scented perfumes...yech

See, the weird thing is, I love the smell of vanilla in food....I just don't like it in perfumes, sprays, etc...It's like people who love pizza, but hate tomatoes or cheese...lol

By the way that wet dirt smell is caused a chemical called Geosmin which is produced by soil bacteria.

My absolute favorites would have to be anything that has the scent of green tea and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Good list, InBloom!

Hmm....let me see.
Clean Breeze Tide.
Prell shampoo and Dial soap (that's what D uses)
Fresh Comfort, Clean Cotton and Sage and Citrus Yankee Home candles
Victoria's Secret Amber Romance body spray and lotion
Pine Sol - because that's what mu kitchen smells like when I'm just done cleaning it.
Lavender (the real deal, not the artifically scented candles and stuff) - when I was little, my mum made me a lavender bag to put under my pillow, and now I find the smell incredibly comforting.
Eucalyptus swags like you find at the florist.
