Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)
I went grocery shopping with my sister today. While I was browsing the medicine aisle, she throws a box of pills in my cart and says with a laugh, "We might need those." I pick up the box , and see "No Rad Pills" in big letters on the front.

It read, "Be prepared! Protect your family against the absorption of radioactive iodine after a nuclear emergency!"
I can't believe that Anti-Radiation Pills are now available at our local grocery store right next to Pepto-Bismol...What has this world come to....

(maybe they have been around for a while...but I hadn't heard of them before....)

yesss....it is crazy...and i'll admit, I can be a bit of a chronic worrier....but dunno if I'd go as far as to get these...lol

I've heard about those, but thought you had to special order them. Almost sounds like something I should get, to store next to my "smoking can kill you" pack of cigarettes. Reminds me of "Rad-Away" from Fallout

Of course the best form of protection against "absorption of radioactive iodine after a nuclear emergency" is to wear a body condom. Everyone needs to start practicing safe nuking or all is lost!!! ;~D

Yeah, I picked up a bunch of "No Rad" brochures a couple of years ago and had some fun. We used to do "street preaching" type stuff (dress up in ratty suits and act like bible thumpers) but this time we went out and started handing out the brochures and telling people that there was much more radiation in the atmosphere than the government was letting on.

Scared the hell out of some folks. We felt like Republicans. It was awesome.
