A good friend of my young sister died last night. Her name was Vanessa. She was a dark haired, pretty, 19 year old girl. she involved in a dance group. She graduated from high school this past May, along with my sister.

How did she die? Some....stupid, moronic, idiotic 16 year olds were drag racing down a busy road. One of the cars hit her, and she lost control of her car and crashed into the yard of a corner home. 19 years old....oh my god....someone who probably had hopes and dreams,..someone who, after spending her life as an only child, was thrilled that her mother was pregnant, and that she was finally going to have a sibling...someone who probably made my sister's life a bit brighter for being in it....someone whose life had just begun...

What the hell is wrong with these kids...do they think they are invincible...that they can't be touched by anything or anyone....that they can do as they damned well please??.....it just ....excuse the language...Pisses me Off....

Just to quench their thirst for speed and thrills...they end up killing a decent young woman...just a senseless, senseless death.

My sincere condolences to you and your sister.

What does it say about society when it recognises the foolhardiness of young people (particularly young men) yet continues to give them licences to control speeding metal? Why are cars made that can do such excessive speeds? Here in Australia, the top speed any motorist driving on public roads is capable of doing is 110 kph yet they make cars capable, in some instances, of doing 2 1/2 times that limit. It just doesn't make sense...

Oh my goodness! *big hugs* for you and your sis. and the family of that young girl. I am 19, and personally it is always jaw dropping news when I see young people lose their lives like this. I know it must be earth shattering for those who love her. Take it easy on yourself!! I had a friend who was in a horrible accident because of racing too...the doctors said had the car hit just a smidgen closer to where she was seated...it would've killed her...that stuff is dangerous...

Take care and keep ur chin up ...oh and thanks for the comment on my blog.
