Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)

There are "playground" arsonists on the loose in our town.

It all started several months back, with these morons setting two or three eastside schoolyard play areas on fire. When I heard the news during that time, it upset and annoyed me a bit. I mean, out of everything they can set afire, why a kids' play area?

Those feelings have now gone from being a "bit" upset to extremely pissed. Just a few days ago, these idiots targeted the school I work at and tried to set one of our new playgrounds on fire. The playground they targeted is made specifically for the little ones (pre-k, K, and 1st). It had only been up for about two months. There was several thousand dollars worth of damage, but unlike the others, it was not completely burned down.

School in my district will be starting in a few weeks, so it doesn't seem like these poor kiddos will be able to enjoy their nice play area for a while. This area wasn't just used during lunchtime, either. Parents usually take their kids to play here for a bit before and after school.

These punks have not been caught. I'm not sure if they are the same bunch or just different groups doing copycat jobs. On this latest one, it was reported that kids ran from the scene...maybe anywhere from 10 to 14 years old. Whoever they are, I just hope they get caught soon so that they can pay the consequences.

I hope the clowns are caught as well.  But how do you burn down a playground?

Aww, for the love of... I will never understand the motivations of some people.

I think they said on the news that they used gasoline to accelerate the fire. Also, the playgrounds are made of a sort of heavy duty plastic, and their canopies are made of an even thinner looking material.

Neither will I.
