Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)
My honey and I were watching Napoleon Dynamite on HBO the other day, and I was impressed with how much attention he pays to detail.

He told me to look at the dance scene and announced , "Notice how in one scene he has his shirt tucked in, and in another scene, half of it is tucked out." I've watched this movie a few times and never even noticed this until he pointed it out to me. He also noticed that in once scene Tricia's house had a screen door and in another scene, there was no screen door to be seen.

I'm sure most of us don't look at a movie simply to find mistakes (that would probably take the pleasure out of watching the movie),
but I wonder if any of you out there are good at spotting bloopers...maybe noticing things others never would have.

Sigh...I wish I had the Gift of Goof Spotting...

Nope that's not a talent I have either, dang it, and it looks so impressive on your resume - lol. I think there are movie websites that list all of the goofs in movies. I never notice them until someone else points them out. Tell Udig that he's got skills - goof spotting skills - almost as good as nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills etc.

Yup!  I got the gift!  Everyday when I look in the mirror I spot a goof.......

seriously,  ...   ahhhh  my son has this gift of noticing bloopers!  I miss them until they're pointed out to me.

I did note tho one time,  while watching Dark Shadows ( my favourite!)  that a "tree" on the set was wobbling and everytime the guys talked it wobbled more!  Now that was funny,  I was waiting for it to fall over.

Occasionally...normally I'm trying to follow the story....however, I do see some bloopers. I can't remember any off the top of my head, but I know I have...

I think we all have a bit of goofiness in us!

I would have been rolling with laughter myself if I saw that!

The ones I can remember off the top of my head are:

*In the movie Speed, when you can spot a member of the movie crew on the bus in the background
*The way Judy Garland's braids would change length throughout the Wizard of Oz.

*And then the goof that became an urban legend...the "Ghost" on "Three Men and a Baby". I was one of those morons who screamed when people showed it to me, believing it was real...what a letdown to find out it was just a cardboard display of Ted Danson.

Sadly no.  But I guess that is why he is so good at trivia.

Until yesterday when you Pickled DemosLocke!

Oh, he is so competitive! I tease him about it sometimes.

I never knew that!

You are his equal!

I think maybe I am a little backwards.  You see I can sit and watch a film and notice little things like that...but then I can miss the whole point of the film...the important stuff generally doesn't register with me!

My problem when watching films is sometimes I get distracted. I'll watch a movie in parts (getting up and doing this and that), instead of just sitting down and watching the whole thing.

I can say, fortunately, that I've gotten better at this.
on Jul 24, 2006
Nope, not all the time. Then again, if I can sit and watch an entire program without being distracted by a child, that would be good! That's very observant of him though.

I saw on HBO a couple of weeks ago, they were discussing this very thing. There are actually people who are in charge of making sure that the details in a movie scene remains the same at every take. Unfortunately, sometimes the details will slip through the cracks due to the repetive takes that is done to get a scene correct, hence the missing screen door and the shirt being tucked and untucked! Quite interesting!

Too bad I missed it...I would have liked to have seen that!
