Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)

Is Wall-E for everyone? Probably not.

If you dig animated movies with lots of dialogue and plenty of over the top/zany/big mouthed characters, then this movie might not be for you.

Wall-E is pretty subtle...but oh so endearing.  Here is a robot that has strolled around earth doing his robotic duties for the last 700 years, and along the way develops a "personality"...I guess you can say he's picked up some human quirks.

The movie begins in a pretty "solitary" manner (don't know what other word to use here), but it soon heads into fast paced adventure.  And although the adventure is full of awe, wonder, a few odd characters, and some laughs, the story never really strays from its main theme.

And that is Love.

Yes, the movie is somewhat of a cautionary tale about the environment.  However, you don't get hit over the head with this theme.  It's there...but it's not lecturing you.

It's all about the Love.

For someone like me who is a bit of a mush when it comes to romance (and all that "gunk"...lol), it did manage to pull at my heartstrings. His love and affection for Eve (or Eva as he likes to call her) can actually be called inspiring. It might even touch the toughest of hearts out there...just maybe.

(FYI...saw this yesterday with my nieces and w/ Chris)

I want to see this.  Maybe next week.  Did the girls like it?  My older boys seem to think they are too big for these type of movies but they want to see kung fu panda.

Noah and I are hoping to see it soon. It looks sweet on t.v. Thanks for the review.

The girls definitely liked it.  They thought it was cute and funny.  I can see why your boys would want to see Kung Fu Panda.  Who wouldn't want to see a panda do some awesome moves?

Hope you get to see Wall-E, with or without the boys.

I disagree.  I think it IS for EVERYONE!  My boys and husband and we all absolutely loved it!  It's touching, funny and incredibly done all around.  Anyone who thinks they are too old for it doesn't know he/she is talking about.

Me and my oldest were bored Sunday afternoon so we went and saw it. It was very entertaining and a great way to pass a lazy afternoon.

You are right...everyone SHOULD love it!! However, I know of some people who saw it and didn't like it....probably not their cup of tea.

I know I won't be seeing it, but then I tend to skip all animated movies released since, well, not quite since snow white, but close Saves me time saying I didn't like it and others having to deal with a spoilsport So everyone who think it might be their cup of tea: go see it!! It seems to be pretty good from what I've heard so far

It looks good, now that I have seen trailers that show more than just Wall-E puttering around talking to himself.
