Hope you enjoy my little bits of this and that. :) I can't promise they'll always be interesting. :)

I probably only live 5 or 6 hours away from the Grand Canyon, but surprisingly, I've never been to it. Now that this new Grand Canyon Skywalk has opened up, it motivates me more to want to visit this place. I am such a yellow belly when it comes to heights and such, but this seems like too much of a cool thing to pass up.

A bit scary, but stunning all the same. Maybe I can convince Chris to go sometime. I just hope I won't wuss out if I have the opportunity to walk this.

I visited the Grand Canyon about 30 years ago.  It was awesome, and no skywalk.  And I am like you with heights.  I dont think I could do the skywalk!  It was scary enough looking over the side.

I think it would be awesome. I haven't ever been to the Grand Canyon but I would love to go sometime. I would probably be afraid but make myself do it anyway.

I've seen the Grand Canyon from an airplane at somethingthousand feet but not up close and personal like that! And when you go across the Royal Gorge in Colorado there's half inch cracks in the boards! Scary looking down at over a sheer thousand feet+ drop!

Yeah, i wanna walk that too!

I want to see that too.  I am totally petrified of un-secure heights.  Meaning I can stand on top of a building all day...but put me anywhere above ground that is not "secure" and..pfft..I freeze like a deer in the head lights, terror seizes my heart, much vertigo ensues, and I'm useless.

I could do this though.

I've heard some people simply call it a "hole in the ground", which sort of annoys me since I think it would be such a cool place to visit, so I am glad you thought it was awesome.

If you happen to walk this walk before me, let me know how it goes...I wanna be prepared!

Those are exactly my thoughts. I think I would be deathly afraid, but for me to just to pass up an unforgettable experience like that would be dumb on my part. Some way, I think I'd make myself do it.

Wow, thx for the close ups! I did hear about it and it does sound so awsome. I would be a little scared too! We want pictures when you muster up the courage to go!

Nope, I couldn't do it. If I did, I'd have to have my eyes closed and be led around like a blind man. So there really isn't much point me doing this. Vertigo is my friend

Dyna, I might need someone to lead me around, too!

You know I don't need convincing. Any excuse to get closer to Vegas is okay with me.

Plus you know what I want to do with you on that walkway.

Oh, and it's nothing nasty, folks...lol.

But it is probably a Practical joke!

Hey a friend of mine just got back from The GC...they went for spring break...

She said this isn't inside the park area...and it cost a whopping $75 a person. They have 4 kids so they didn't do it...wow, that's alotta cash.

I just came across the following after reading Tova's post:

Some of the shock was over the admission price. While widely advertised as $25, the real cost is $75. Yes, it costs $25 to walk on Skywalk, but you first need to pay $50 to get on the reservation.

Sneaky sneaky.
